Story
I am running my first half marathon as part of the Great North Air Ambulance Team. Our friends work on the ambulance and inspire me with their dedication, bravery and knowledge. Their crews operate 365 days a year and respond to around 1000 call outs with emergency expertise. I will be so proud to run for them.
Any extra money I raise, I will be donating to the specialist Neo Natal unit at the Royal Hampshire County Hospital, Winchester who helped us when we lost our baby girl, Lola Cove. The unit was a haven in the darkest of times, staffed by angels who showered us and our baby angel with love. If my run can help provide help, or memory boxes to other parents in a similar situation, it will be worth it.
This is my first ever half marathon. I have never been a runner and the pain is real! But I will be powered by the cause and hope to have the spirits of Lola and our fluffy pup, Coco at my back pushing me on to the finish line.
Thank you so much for any help you can offer. Even a message of support will spur me on!
