NOTE FOR COMPETITORS
Please leave your full name in the message box, so that we can match it up when you send us your video entry and thank you for your support.
WHY WE ARE DOING THIS?
Whilst the current social distancing measures can make us feel isolated during these difficult times, we felt it was essential to transform our annual charity dressage competition rather than just abandon the idea. Life shouldn’t come to a halt just because we’re in lockdown, and we feel it is more important than ever that we do our part to support the people who need us. Our revolutionised Virtual Charity dressage aims to encourage participants to have fun coming together while remaining apart, fitting with Aware NI’s new #HomeAndAware initiative.
Mental Health awareness is a cause we care deeply about at Laurel View, as it is an issue, we are all too familiar with. Aware NI is the depression charity for Northern Ireland, which have provided essential support to people close to us, and at Laurel View we want to be able to help them support even more people. With 1 in 4 people experiencing depression at some point in their lives, AWARE's mission is to promote emotional health and well-being, help people build resilience and maintain positive mental health. AWARE will strive to continue to be a source of support for those who need it, but need your help. With AWARE's fundraising events being put on hold due to COVID-19, they need support from people like you so they can continue supporting people who are struggling with their mental health, particularly at this difficult time. All funds raised will go towards supporting those living in Northern Ireland with depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder. Thank you! #HomeAndAWARE
