There are a number of reasons why I chose to run for the MS Society of Great Britain & Northern Ireland, but the most important for me is to help people like my Aunt who has been seriously affected by this disease.  Over the years I have watched her cope with this debilitating disease and the sheer determination she has shown to not let it beat her.

Over the last few months I have also learned that 3 friends under the age of 30 have been diagnosed with aggressive forms of the disease which is another reason why I feel strongly about this charity.
