Story
Yes laughing over- you have read correctly - I am attempting to 'run' the Virgin London Marathon...and I use the term 'run' VERY loosely indeed! Drag myself on my hands and knees may be somewhat more realistic.
We are all aware that one tragically devastating event has led me along this path. Sadly on 21/1/2012 my world changed forever in the worst day of my life when I lost my sister and best friend Sonya in a RTC. While heartbreakingly nothing could be done to help Sonya, the East Anglian Air Ambulance managed to save my life by giving me treatments at the side of the road and on the way to hospital that other paramedics and emergency services would not have been able to offer.
The EAAA crew that saved my life were incredible and came to visit me several times in hospital both when I was unconscious and again when I was awake. I have had the opportunity to say thank you in person for all that they have done for me but as you can imagine words will never be enough.
I have decided to embark on this crazy mission as I want to give something back to the charity through a personal challenge and as I spent 3 months unable to walk I figured what better way to do it than to 'run' the Virgin London Marathon 2013.
Please give generously as I know that this money will be very well spent and together we can help save someone else's life.
