Story

As many of you know, I love to challenge myself! Be it jumping out of a plane, walking for several miles, living on basics- no problem! I decided I needed a new challenge, something I would REALLY find difficult. Naturally this would be taking away something I love for a day- TALKING!

As a speech therapist, I work with kids who feel frustrated at their inability to use their voice every day. I want to put myself in their shoes for a day and I imagine I will share their frustrations!

So essentially, you can pay to shut me up for a day- that's gotta be worth it hasn't it?!

I'd like to give the money to the National Autistic Society as its children with ASD who have opened up my world to my career and to how important communication is! I feel like I owe something to them.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So go on, give your ears a break and pay to keep me quiet for an entire day!!!

It's happening on Wednesday 9th March 2011.

Thankyou in advance, Laura x
