In October I will be making the two day journey to Nepal to trek to Everest Base Camp.  

The trek will see us cover 130km over 11 days of trekking for on average of 7 hours a day through various terrain in the Himalayas, battling altitude to reach the camp which stands at 5364 metres above sea level. The following day I will summit Himilayan mountain Kala Patthar standing at 5550 metres before descending over 3 days and travelling back to Khatmandu before returning home.

I am fundraising for Claire House who are a local childrens hospice based in Merseyside but supporting families all over the country.

At Claire House the teams help seriously and terminally ill children make the most of the time they have however long or short that may be.

By providing specialist nursing and end of life care, as well as emotional support Claire House helps families through some of the toughest times of their lives.
