Story
My friend asked me if i wanted to go swimming with her on her on training days as she was entering the Great North Swim. Since I was doing the training I thought I might as well sign up for the event and what better reason than to raise money for the school.
Since this is my very first open water swim I will be doing the 1 mile course. I have been training for it since January & to begin with was only able to swim 2 lengths before taking a break! I have recently managed to achieve 100 lengths without stopping.
At the end of April I moved on the the lake part of the training at Tri20swim where I can currently swim 1.5 laps in a wet suit (2/3 mile). I am positive I will be able to achieve the mile in June If i keep up with my training schedule!
