Story
I'm sure a few of you remember I ran the Birmingham Half Marathon three years ago in memory of a family friend, Peter 'Paddy' Cronin, who sadly died from cancer.
Since then, I've had two serious knee operations and have slowly been getting back on the horse (so to speak) and back into playing the sports I love.
Now...thanks to a lot of cajoling from my mate Emma Morphy, I have decided to take on the Wolf Run on June 15 for the same cause.
Paddy was a brilliant man and we still miss him to this day. Unfortunately he is also one of millions who experienced cancer.
And although it will be physically challenging for me to complete the 10K run
through obstacles, my pain is insignificant compared to what those
suffering from cancer go through.
Whether its personal experience or through family members or friends, Macmillan is one of many groups who try and make that pain a little bit easier to bear.
So if you can spare a few quid, I would be incredibly grateful....
Thank you :-)
