Story
Many of you will know parts of Laura's cancer story. These are the words Laura used on her Just Giving page for her 20mile sponsored walk;
"In September 2017 I found a lump and was diagnosed with breast cancer, however 3 months later I found out that the cancer had spread into my bones and liver, and was now classed as incurable. It was treatable, but treatment would last for the rest of my life. This was a devastating time for both me and all close to me - treatment has been tough but well worth it."
In August 2020 Laura found out that the cancer had spread to her brain, these were the thoughts she posted on Instagram;
"The last week of my life has been hard. Like really f*cking difficult, I never knew that challenges would face us like this in the world.
Last week I found out my cancer had spread again, from the breast and liver and now to the brain. I can't even describe that feeling and I dont ever want anyone to understand it.
But this was more a post for those of you who are there. My bestest family and friends. Every single one of you know who you are and I love you all so much. Thank you for everything"
Laura passed away on the 1st of September 2020 at Princess Alice Hospice. Any donations you make will go towards helping other people like Laura and their families.
