Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Some people do a sponsored silence or walk or run, well that's just not me, i'm going to be doing a handstand a day and hoping to raise money for the Mental Health Foundation.
My fundraising idea:
As of 30th March 2014, I will be travelling around SE Asia, experiencing the culture, encountering the food and living out of a backpack. I thought it would be fun to take a photo every day of whatever im doing, to make a blog of sorts. But how to make it different and exciting and a bit more personal? Well; my friend Louisa (http://www.justgiving.com/louisasdailyhandstand) is doing a daily handstand and I am following in her footsteps, I thought it'd be fun to be doing a handstand in every picture, this way its a challenge for me: A. to find a great photo and keep it interesting and B. to actually stay up long enough to take the photo! Although just a bit of fun, I thought "why not try and raise some money whilst i'm at it". So there it is, please dont be shy to give, no matter how much.
1 in 4 people experience mental health related issues in the course of a year, meaning it is likely that someone you know or even you will encounter mental illness sooner or later. It should not be swept underneath the mat, i feel it is as important as phyical illnesses and the likes and deserves our attention.
