UPDATE...... I DID IT...... YES I COMPLETED ALL 26.2 MILES AND HAVE LIVED TO TELL THE TALE.

Thanks to everyone for their support...... it was a really great day, I'm just suffering with the injuries now.

My Challenge: To run the Flora London Marathon 2008

Aim: To raise as much money as possible (and survive!!!)

Although I was fortunate enough to obtain my own ballot place in this years Marathon, I have decided to raise money in the process for Haven House, which is my local children's hospice in Woodford.

Haven House Children’s Hospice provides short term respite care and end of life care, for children with life-threatening conditions. It costs £1.7m each year to provide this free service to children and their families within Essex and North East London; they rely totally on the support of the local community and people like me going that extra mile (Literally)

I have survived the gruelling training sessions (in all weather conditions), suffered the injuries, given up the booze (well just) and I am now ready to take on the ultimate challenge of running 26.2 miles on 13th April.
