I am running the Great North Run to raise money for Cash For Kids, a charity which is very close to my heart.

Cash For Kids helps children in the local area who are disabled and have special needs, or who have suffered abuse or neglect.

I am doing the Great North Run because I believe that sometimes young people just need a little extra care, guidance and a place and time where they are just allowed to be children. I have witnessed this first hand, having worked closely with disadvantaged children.

With a little help Cash for Kids can offer the support needed to the children of North East England.

Please give what you can, every penny counts no matter how big or small. I am not a runner so this will be a big challenge for me.
