We help blind and partially sighted people to break down the barriers of sight loss

Story

Hello!

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I am organising and taking part in a number of challenges over the next 6 months, as part of my fundraising for a London Marathon place.

My first event is the Three Peaks Challenge - I have fantastic, energetic (and a little crazy) friends and family (shout out to Steph, Sophie, Sarah, Laura and Louise and support driver, Hugh) who have signed up to climb (and drive between) Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon come rain or shine in 24 hours.

I've chosen to raise money for RNIB as I've seen how loss of eyesight can have an impact on lives and how lonely it can be. I want to raise money to make sure people suffering with loss of eyesight have access to the guidance, advice and emotional support needed. If you'd like to read more about the work that the RNIB do, have a look here:  https://www.rnib.org.uk/

It's all for an amazing cause and any donation is hugely appreciated. Stay tuned for updates...

Thanks

Laura

Please note - If I'm successful in getting a RNIB charity place for the London Marathon, then the money raised here will go towards my London Marathon fundraising target. I have never raised money in all the events I have participated in over the years but completing the London Marathon has been on my list forever and in doing so I will be completing the London Classics challenge (2 mile Swim Serpentine and 100 mile Prudential cycle), so better late than never!

About the charity

Every day 250 people in the UK start losing their sight. With your help, we can be there when people need us most, support independent living, create an inclusive society and prevent avoidable sight loss. Every pound you raise will help create a future where sight loss is no longer a barrier.
