I will be running/walking 26km per week for the next 4 weeks to raise awareness of the refugee crisis and to support students from asylum-seeker and refugee backgrounds to access higher education at Newcastle University. 

The global refugee population has more than doubled in the last decade, with The UN Refugee Agency reporting 26.4 million refugees worldwide at the end of 2020.

Around half of the global refugee population are under 18, and more than two-thirds come from just five countries.
