This year I will be running the Great North Run to raise money for FareShare North East.

Their mission is to reduce food waste and get food to places that need it most. FareShare North East plays an active role in reducing hunger in the region by redistributing good to eat food to over 250 charities and community groups. 

In 2022, they redistributed enough food to make 3 million meals. By making good use of this huge amount of food, it is saved from being thrown away.

Donations support the running of 7 vans so that they have enough petrol, maintenance, and equipment to keep getting food delivered. They will also contribute to costs covering equipment for volunteers, ensuring they are safe and supported during their shifts.
