Story
My nephew Eben was born with Muscular Dystrophy. He is now 3 and the most kind, caring, funny and chatty little boy I know who LOVES dinosaurs! And despite not being able to do all the things other 3 year olds are able to he never lets it hold him back, from joining in with all his many friends at nursery or playing in the river with his cousin-and he approaches everything with such a great big smile on his face.
But there currently is no cure, and in many cases, it limits lives. Muscular Dystrophy UK is a charity that do vital work in funding pioneering research into treatments and cures as well as providing vital information, advice, resources and support for individuals and families living with these conditions.
I want to take the positivity Eben has so much of and push myself, like he does all the time, to run the GNR and help raise money for Eben and others with Muscular Dystrophy.
All donations, big or small, are greatly appreciated. Part of the money raised will go towards Eben's fund so his parents, Helen and Rory, can continue to support him lead a happy life, such as an electric wheelchair which is easy for Eben to operate. This will allow him to have the independence he'll need as he starts to get older and keep up with his new younger sister and friends. Thank you so much!
