Story
November this year I will be leaving my high heels and straightners at home and I will be fortunate to travel to Nepal with my good friend Lou. I will trek the foothills of the Himalayas to heights just over 4,200m to finally catch glimpses of Everest peak.
The summit trek will be challenging, thrilling and gruelling. The trek itself will have everything a girl does not like: bad hair days, aching feet, nights spent in tents, blood sucking ticks, altitude sickness. no decent toilet facilities and I don’t even want to think about the smells!!
But on the flip side the views (Please see pictures), the challenge, the rough rugged mountain men, but above all the sense of achievement of such an exhilarating adventure…
My chosen charity is called 'Make-a-Wish', This grants magical wishes to young children and young people fighting life threatening illnesses
By sponsoring me, 'Make-a-Wish' will transform someone's life, whether it's something simple as a special day out to London for lunch, a magical therapeutic swim in the sea with dolphins or just to visit the zoo to see their favourite animal. Not only does it change the people with illnesses it provides parents/carers with the chance to have a break and to see their loved ones get their final wish.
