The beautiful and inspirational Denise lost her battle with Cancer. She fought with courage, strength and bravery over the last 6 years. The pain Denise's family are feeling is indescribable and imagining life without her is something they try not to think about but every time they think of Denise, her beaming smile and laughter that everyone knows of comes into our mind and that makes them smile.
Denise had Myeloma which is a type of blood cancer that effects the bone marrow and long bones. She was 48 years of age when she was diagnosed which is very uncommon for that type of cancer but over the last 6 years we have seen younger people getting diagnosed.
Myeloma UK is a charity that helps people with myeloma, they are constantly researching new types of treatment, giving emotional support and making more people aware of this illness. Denise never complained once over the last 6 years and always thought of others and always done charity events in support of myeloma as they were always there to help us as a family and did all they could to help her through the illness. Our support is not going to stop and we know that this is what Denise would have wanted.
Myself, Steph and her sister in law Donna will be skydiving after the new year in memory of Denise and also to raise awareness and money for Myeloma UK.
The support that Denise's family have had since she has passed is humbling and they appreciate it so much.
Instead of sending sympathy cards or flowers, we would love if you could make a donation via the Myeloma UK website or sponsor our skydive in memory of Denise. Every penny counts. If it can help another person like Denise in the future then it would make all a difference.
I hope this doesn't sound cheeky. It's such a hard time at the moment, we want to do Denise proud, she was loved by so many people and we think this is just a lovely way of giving back.
Thanks again for your support x x x
