Story

On 29th October this year, my dad went in for a large yet routine operation. Unfortunately 18 days later he passed away from organ failure as a result of sepsis 💔 we are raising awareness and much needed funding for this silent killer in the hope that we can help other families be spared from this awful agony.

This Always Remember Tribute Fund is a lasting tribute to someone who lost their life to sepsis. Together, these funds represent a collective determination by those who have lost loved ones to raise awareness and support the work of the UK Sepsis Trust, in memory of all those lost to this devastating condition. All of the money raised will help the UK Sepsis Trust achieve its aim of saving 14,000 lives in the UK every year. For more information about the work of UK Sepsis Trust, please visit www.sepsistrust.org. Please contact Faye at alwaysremember@sepsistrust.org if you have any questions.

Sepsis accounts for 48,000 deaths annually in the UK, that’s more than breast, bowel and prostate cancer put together. Sepsis is what happens when our immune system overreacts to an infection. Symptoms initially present as flu like but can rapidly deteriorate into a life threatening condition.
