Story
On Sunday 14th October 2018, we lost our beloved mum and Nan Doreen Dawson.
After being diagnosed with Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis (IPF) in February 2018, our beautiful Doreen's health deteriorated over the course of the year. Her passing was sudden, unplanned and devastating to us all, since the majority of year 72 years were spent being fully fit and healthy.
As a family, we are trying, and will continue to try, to raise awareness of this debilitating disease, which receives limited funding and has a lack of knowledge throughout the medical profession.
5 million people worldwide suffer from IPF, despite there being no known cause or cure. We are determined to make a difference.
On Sunday 16th June, we completed the Port Sunlight 5K in her honour in her home village. We did this to raise awareness and to educate more people about this disease, and we would like to ask for any donations to be directed towards Action for Pulmonary Fibrosis 💜
We aren’t asking for pounds, we are asking for pennies as every penny truly will help this amazing charity.
Please feel free to contribute in any way you can. Alternatively, hand it to us personally or message us for more information.
Thank you from the three of us x
