This year Heather, Kerry and Laura will be taking on a series of challenges to support Pancreatic Cancer UK in Dad's honour. He wanted the grandchildren outside more so lets make it happen and raise awareness of Pancreatic Cancer at the same time!
☆Challenges completed so far: January, JogJan4PanCan (50km); February, London Walkopoly Virtual hike (26 miles) and PCUK Jog 28 miles; March and April, Laura took on a 250 mile bike ride to Virtually Ride the London Underground; April, we all completed Challenge 24: 24 miles walked/ jogged per week; May 50 squats a day; June #30dayswild; July, The Big Step Forward and the Goggins Challenge (4 miles ran every 4 hours for 48 hours); August, Run31, September 5th, Colour Me Purple 5k; October 3rd, Virtual London Marathon completed; November, 10,000 steps a day, Challenge 24: 24 miles a week in November and Pancreatic Cancer Awareness month- wearing Purple and Light it Up!
In December, Heather will join me on Sunday final challenge...
Hopefully, by the end of the year, we will have walked, jogged, ran 1000 miles or more reaching our overall goal.
It's unacceptable that more than half of people diagnosed with pancreatic cancer die within 3 months. Survival rates have improved enormously for most cancers, yet for pancreatic cancer, this is not the case. Pancreatic Cancer UK is dedicated to taking on this injustice using every possible means. They're supporting people with pancreatic cancer now, campaigning, and funding vital research to transform the future. Help them to make the breakthroughs that people with pancreatic cancer so desperately need.
We are doing this in Dad's honour. The best dad and grandad in the world.
