Story
So as promised :-) the weather is changing and as many of you seen my recent post about doing a charity jump for MS which is a disability my father got 2 years ago and was medically discharged from the armed forces after serving in for 28 years. Watching how its effected my dad and seeing his freedom being took away from him sending him once into a dark place as he can no longer do the simple daily activities we all probily take for granted. That was when he said i cant let this defeat me and continued to get out as much as he could volunteering and helping and talking to others about his life as a soldier.. this resulted in dad recieveing a MBE which im extremely proud of!! Along the way dad got intouch with MS which are a brilliant volounteering group who help veterans and there familys and other familys come togther and understand they are not alone. They do so much for these familys and dad is forever grateful.
When i learned dad had to pay out over £200 a month for his medication as its not covered by the nhs it really upsets me how men like this can serve a lifetime to our country yet certain medications that they might need in which may i add doing my research theres alot of ex soilders who have ended up with this disease have to fork out just to be able to function daily. Why is there not more help ?? Should they have to pay for it? I personally dont think they should .
So !!! This is where ive decided as a Thank you to MS support for helping my dad and others to start fundraising and giving something back to them.
My first challange is a tandem skydive which will take place beginning of august (3rd or 4th)aslong as the weather is ok( fingers crossed) its all booked ! videos will be uploaded and im hoping people will come to watch to spur me on YIKKKEEEESS!!!!!
So i‘ve set up just giving page and all funds will go directly to the MS support society. We would be very grateful for any donations given.
Much love - The Rutters & MS support x x
