Story
In August 2022 my world was shattered when my wonderful dad was diagnosed with a brain tumour. The unbearable happened in November 2022 when he passed away. Dad was simply the best dad, grandpa and friend I could ever have wish for and I miss him every single second of every single day.
In his memory I have decided to take on the London Marathon to raise money for The Brain Tumour Charity. They are committed to improving life for everyone affected by brain tumours and to important research that I hope will one day defeat this horrible disease. Dad and I loved running together and he even ran the London Marathon 3 times so I thought taking on the 26.2 mile challenge seemed fitting (if not a bit terrifying!!)
I’m sure Dad will probably be up there thinking “oh doll, what have you signed up for, don’t get injured!” But, just like he was my whole life, I know he’ll be supporting me every step of the way and I’ll do my very best to make him proud.
If you’re able make a donation, however big or small, I’d be really really grateful.
Thank you so much!
