Story
Last year I entered the London Marathon but was forced to defer my place through illness but '24 is the year of full health and I plan to be on the start line on Sunday 21st April. My 16 week training plan really hasn't gone to plan, to say the least. Early on I lacked serious motivation as I religiously stuck to my plan last year only to feel demoralised that I couldn't take part and annoyingly, it's taken months to regain my mojo for running. Writing this with six days to go, I'm only now starting to feel the excitement so don't expect a PB (although this is my first official marathon so of course it will be). With no expectation on time and having nearly reached my fundraising target (thank you), I can simply enjoy the infamous atmosphere of the London Marathon!
And a HUGE thank you to everyone that donated last year!

As I have asthma, this is a cause close to my heart. One in five of us will have a lung condition during our lifetime. There's a new diagnosis every minute. They're the only UK charity that fights for everyone's right to breathe. Every pound I'm able to raise will take us a step closer to a world where everyone has healthy lungs. Just £22 allows one of Asthma + Lung UKs nurses to answer a call on the Helpline, offering potentially lifesaving advice. I'd be very grateful for any donations you could make!
