Dear All - Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

As you all know by know I'm abandoning London life for a year to go off to a remote area in Malawi, famous for the heat, the mossies and the crocodiles! I'll be working in a small mission hospital (run by nuns!) serving a poor rural population. Currently in Malawi HIV infection rate runs at around 17-18%, life expectancy is around 54 years.  They have around 2 doctors per 1000, 000 people and 18.6 nurses - so they could do with a bit of a leg up really. That's where VSO come in.  They act as a middle man in matching up people like me with organisations in struggling countries to help share and disseminate skills so they are not so reliant on outside aid. Please donate whatever you feel you can afford.  Even if it's just to thank VSO for getting shot of me for a while.  Many thanks.
