Story
Hello and thanks for popping in on our page!
7 years ago I lost one of my best friends to cancer – although nothing can fill the Kayleigh-shaped hole in our lives, her memory lives on through the amazing work by the Hope for Tomorrow charity, and the Kayleigh mobile chemotherapy unit which was created in her memory and services patients in the South Wiltshire area.
Hope for Tomorrow help make life easier for cancer sufferers by bringing cancer treatment closer to home via their mobile chemotherapy units, which is particularly life-changing for those without family or who may struggle to get back and forth to a hospital. That’s why I’m subjecting my lady parts to 100 miles (and more training miles than I care to think about) on a bas**rd bike at the Prudential RideLondon to raise money for this great charity. Mark is also popping along for the ride...
Anyone who knows me well will know that although I love the gym, I am pretty inexperienced when it comes to cycling. In fact during a cycling holiday last year I claimed I would never again get on a bike for the rest of my life, which may go some way in explaining just how challenging this is going to be for me. As for Mark, well, he will be my husband when the ride comes round so he doesn't have much of a choice and will be pedalling alongside me.
I would be so grateful if you could spare a few quid to
sponsor us and help us raise money for this life-changing charity.
