Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page and supporting The Injured Jockey's Fund.

As so many of you know, many jockeys are in need of this amazing charity, getting them back to the racecourse as quick as possible.

Joanna was one of these jockeys. Joanna is an amateur jockey, in March 2015 she had a fall Point-to-Ponting crushing her T8, fracturing her T9 and since her back was very unstable she had 8 pins and 2 rods in her back. The Injured Jockey’s Fund and Jack Berry House were there for Jo, aiding her recovery with physio, hydrotherapy and intensive gym sessions. Within 3 months Jo was able to get her licence back and had a winner a week later. If it wasn't for this support she would not have got back to the racecourse so quickly.

And as some of you know Laura, Jo’s younger sister, had a short pointing career. She is hoping to have a comeback and will take part in the Ladies Charity Race, held at Kelso Racecourse over a distance of 1m 5f with Joanna on the 29th May 2016.

So please donate and help us raise as much money as possible for a worthy cause!!
