Story
I'm walking for endo this July (8,000 steps a day) to support the 1 in 10 women with the disease, who wait on average a shocking 8 years to receive a diagnosis in the UK!
After years of unexplained pain, I was referred to a gynaecologist in 2021, aged 28. I had suspected endometriosis, however, the only way to diagnose it was to go for surgery (laparoscopy). After surgery (April 2021), I was informed I had stage 4 endometriosis (due to severe adhesions and a frozen pelvis). Although I finally received answers, the battle continues for me. Within 14 months, I've had surgery 4 times.
There are so many women out there who suffer from this disease, yet very little research available. If you are able to donate just a pound to this amazing charity, it will mean so much to me and the endo sisters out there 💗.
