100 Miles in March
Fundraising for Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation
Fundraising for Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation
In 2020, I completed the "Swim the Distance" Challenge for Roy Castle, which I thought about doing again. However, it's actually more challenging for me to find suitable pool times now that life and the world has returned to normal ...so I am trying something new!
Like the last challenge, I will be completing this in memory of my Auntie Babs who sadly passed from lung cancer in 2017.
This time, I committing to complete 100 Miles in March to raise money and awareness for Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation - this works out as an avg of 3.2 miles / 5km every day for 31 days via walking, cycling etc. This will definitely be a challenge for me to fit in around work and all other commitments, but I am looking forward to being pushed to get outdoors as much as possible and see some health benefits, whilst raising money for a good cause 😊 And hopefully on weekends, and even at nights as the days get longer, I will manage some longer walks to keep my momentum going!
The money raised from completing my 100 miles in March will go directly to funding vital lung cancer research, early detection and supporting those living with lung cancer.
I will also be on the look out for walking buddies so let me know if you'd like to join me one day :)
Thank you for supporting me - any donations will be appreciated.
