Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I was diagnosed with epilepsy at the age of 18 and it came as a huge shock to both myself and my family. Since then, I have had to live with it everyday and whilst my seizures are fairly well controlled it is still a scary experience when I do have them.
The National Society for Epilepsy are the leading medical charity working for everyone affected by epilepsy, through their cutting edge research, awareness campaigns and expert care. They also provide emotional support through their forums. They aim to provide information to both those suffering from epilepsy and also to members of the public in order to dispel common misconceptions about the condition.
I am running the London half marathon on the 25th of September with my younger sister Claire and her boyfriend Max and we will all be raising money for the NSE. The money that we raise will go towards funding further research, helping the NSE to increase awareness and helping them to carry on providing expert care.
I have been training for this since January and would be grateful if you would consider sponsoring me. Even if you can only afford 50p then all donations are welcome.
Thank you xx
