Story
Each year Stockdales usually holds a Vintage Tea Party each year to raise money for the charity. This Fathers Day there will be a big hole to fill as my dad passed away after his struggle with cancer in October and so I thought I’d make it a bit brighter by supporting Stockdales and doing a tea (Prosecco) party to raise money for them ably helped by Zoom and neighbours on their drives😎🌈🥂🍰🧁
Stockdales, like many other charities this year are having to cancel fairs and other fundraisers in order to keep everyone safe in Lockdown. This doesn’t mean they aren’t carrying on their fabulous work day in day out but it does mean that money usually raised through various activities isn’t available for now. So they’re asking people to keep the Vintage Fundraiser alive by seeing if people would hold their own tea parties at home instead and share their Zoom or Distance pictures on their Facebook page and donate any funds raised to Stockdales!
Visit their website www.stockdales.org.uk for more information about them and watch their film under the ‘about us’ tab.
It could be a replica of VE Day (weather permitting) where many of us are were sitting on our own driveways with our neighbours socially distancing and raising much needed funds...now there’s a thought...
