Story
In February of last year we found out we were expecting twins and for the next 7 months Jessops became our second home. My pregnancy wasn't exactly straightforward and our little bundles made a surprise entrance into the world, 7 weeks earlier than planned and needed 36 days in the neonatal care unit. Leaving your brand new babies in the care of people you've never met before is not what anyone ever plans but we were all so well looked after. The staff in the unit taught us how to help look after our babies and feel as involved as we possibly could be, teaching us how to test the acid levels in their tummies, feed them through tubes and read blood pressure on their tiny little arms, amongst many other new skills. This is aside from the many hours we spent talking to the staff, asking dozens of questions and phoning them in the early hours to check on Molly's breathing or to see if Luca was settled. They really are superheroes and we'll be forever grateful.
Celebrate the superheroes who care for and save the lives of Sheffields babies and their families. The money you donate will help to improve the care and treatment of babies and their families at the Jessop Wing.
