Story
Hey guys,
Your going to find this hard to believe but little old me is off on an adventure, 100km trek through Jungle, up a couple of mountains and all in the aid of raising funds for an amazing charity.
This is going to be a massive personal challenge for me. I'm not exactly slim, fit, I don't love walking and I have a phobia of frogs so you might be wondering why on earth have I decided to do this ... well I'm hoping to change all of those things over the coming months (unlikely to change the phobia part) in preparation for this amazing opportunity and at the same time help raise a significant amount of money to support local people who really need our help.
NOAH Enterprise is a charity which seeks to help the most disadvantaged in the local community.
The consequences of the cost-of-living crisis and the aftermath of the pandemic mean we expect to see increasing numbers of people seeking Noahs help.
Your donations will help those suffering from severe poverty and homelessness, provide hot meals, clothing, medical help and support, assistance into temporary and permanent housing, as well as offering support into employment.
Any amount you can spare, no matter how little, will go towards changing people's lives for the better.
Below are more details on the trek and the wonderful charity behind this amazing mission.
NOAH is hosting its first ever trekking challenge to the incredible island of Madagascar. Departing November 18 to 29 2023, this twelve day challenge offers a once-in-lifetime adventure, spending five days trekking through the spectacular jungles of Andringitra National Park, before helping at a community project. Fitness levels must be maximised as the group will summit the islands highest (climbable) peak Pic Boby and neighbouring Chameleon Peak, encountering remarkable views. We will also be on the lookout for the endangered lemurs and other unique wildlife of the island. This challenge will provide an opportunity to raise much needed funds for NOAH, whilst giving the participant an experience and challenge they will never forget. Profits from this adventure will help those suffering from severe poverty and homelessness, provide hot meals, clothing, medical help and support and assistance into temporary and permanent housing. Also offering support into employment.
