As you are aware I am cycling to raise money for Refuge – for women and children, against domestic violence.

These are a few facts about domestic violence, they hopefully will help to explain why I would like to raise money for Refuge:

·   One woman in four experiences domestic violence at some point in her life.

·   Two women are killed each week by a current or former partner.

·   Domestic violence accounts for almost a quarter of all reported violent crime.

·   30% of domestic violence starts or escalates during pregnancy.

·   Domestic violence can happen to anyone, anywhere.

·   Abusers come from all walks of life.

I have been training for a few months now, and I am currently up to 30 miles cycling. I have a few road miles to do before the big bike ride. Please help in anyway you can, big or small, I really do appreciate any contribution and support.
