Okay so I’ve gone and entered the Liverpool Marathon!!! That’s 26.2 miles of road running through the marvellous streets of Merseyside.



The reason? – I’m aiming to raise some money for The Lymphoma Association - the only specialist UK charity that provides accurate medical information and support to lymphatic cancer patients, their families and friends.  

 

This is a charity that is very close to my family and I. As many of you already know  my sister has suffered with Hodgkins Lymphoma for a number of years. She was diagnosed in 2002 and has since come through two separate courses of Chemotherapy and Radiotherapy. Having seen my sister's strength, both emotionally as well as physically, I feel that a few months fitness programme followed by a 4 ½ hour jog around Liverpool will pale in comparison!!

 

I’ve set my fundraising target at £2,000.00 but would be thrilled to raise as much as possible for this very deserving charity. So if you can spare a few pounds to help patients and their families in their fight against Lymphoma this will also motivate me in taking each and every step.
