I am undertaking the rock solid obstacle race on 20th September to raise much needed funds for the chemotherapy suite at Northamton General Hospital. We want to improve and update this area for both patients and their relatives to have a better experience while receiving their cancer treatment. Having worked in oncology for 13 years I know what a difference environment makes when you are already facing a very difficult time. Having the privacy and space whilst having treatment means a lot. Also from a nursing point of view an improved environment makes a huge difference to the quality of care we can offer our patients.
