Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I have decided to run the London Marathon 2019 because I had a crazy ten minutes (as you can see I don’t have the running physique!) but more importantly I am going to run the 26.2 miles for my Mum. 2018 has been, let’s say, not the best year for my family! In June, my amazingly strong mum found a lump, this was a massive shock to the whole family and was a struggle for all of us to get our head around. After copious trips to Plymouth for lots of tests she was diagnosed with grade 2 breast cancer. In July, shortly after her 50th birthday she underwent surgery to have the lump removed along with other procedures. Soon after we learnt the cancer had spread to the lymph nodes and she would need to have Chemotherapy followed by Radiology! She is currently still having chemo.
She is doing fantastic and being so brave. So all my training & the marathon is fully dedicated to her!
All the money I raise will be going to breast cancer care, it’s an amazing charity who do so much for people who have breast cancer and also for their families!
Thank for you taking time to read my story and hope you’ll donate what you can to this amazing cause. I will be getting across that finish line!
