I would like to thank everyone who sponsored me to cycle from London to Paris. It was an amazing experience and I've met some new friends and extremely inspirational people on the ride. It's strange I don't have to get on my bike again today.

I would like to thank everyone who sponsored me to cycle from London to Paris. It was an amazing experience and I've met some new friends and extremely inspirational people on the ride. It's strange I don't have to get on my bike again today.
On the 29 June 2011 I will be embarking on a 300 mile Bike Ride from Crystal Palace in London to The Eiffel Tower in Paris. This is a 4 day cycle averaging between 65-95 miles per day.
I am doing this event to raise money for Kidney Research UK a charity close to mine and my family’s heart having lost my father to Kidney Disease.
Right now the lives of over three million people in the UK are threatened by chronic kidney disease, a number which is expected to reach epidemic proportions over the next decade. Kidney Research UK supports research aimed at finding better treatments, and ultimately a cure, for kidney disease. We have over £9.5 million invested in research at any one time, awarding grants to doctors, nurses and researchers across the UK. We also award grants to kidney patients so that they can cope with the unexpected costs of their condition, and campaign for better patient access to renal services. If Kidney Research UK can continue to fund life saving research into kidney disease in the hope of finding a cure, then the 7,000* people waiting for a kidney transplant, which is 90% of the UK organ transplant list, may cease to be a statistic.
