Story
I've watched my husband, Simon, and sister in law, Becky, run the marathon (Simon twice!)... Both times I enjoyed cheering them on and supporting them, however getting numerous family, friends, extended family, local family, kids & pushchairs around London on the day is pretty hard - running it has got to be easier hasn't it!?!
So this year its my turn to have a little jog around our capitol, my ever present side kick Becks will be there with me and I'm looking forward to a relaxing chat while everyone else copes with the crowds... hehehe ;-)
Now, please don't expect a superfast time, my aim is to get round.... LOL! Before starting training for this I wouldn't even run for a bus so it's been a real eye opener - mainly because I've really enjoyed it!! And I've realised that you really can achieve whatever you put your mind too - if the desire is strong enough, then so are you!
My very brave sister, Sam, has been suffering with Crohn's disease since she was a teenager. I am in constant awe of the way she deals with it all, she never - ever moans or complains and has a truly wonderful "just get on with it" attitude that makes me very proud of her. So I am going to just get on with it and run the marathon and hopefully raise some money in her name at the same time...
