Hi Everyone,
I am participating in the 10k run on 16th May to raise as much money as possible for the Cystic Fibrosis Trust in memory of a close friend Charlotte Adams.
suffered from Cystic Fibrosis which sadly took her life on the 5th January 2010 at the young age of 15. throughout her life supported the Cystic Fibrosis Trust and as promised I am going to do her proud and raise as much as possible for this charity.
For those of you who don't know Cystic Fibrosis (CF) is one of the 's most common life-threatening diseases, which affects a sufferers internal organs especially the lungs and digestive system. Each week five babies are born with CF and each week three young lives are lost to it. Unlike Charlotte, around half of the CF population can expect to live over 38 years, and improvements in treatments can mean a baby born today could expect to live even longer, which is why we are trying to help out this Trust as much as possible.
There is currently no cure for CF, but the Trust are constantly working on trying to find this cure and are conducting clinical trials for gene therapy which is complex and expensive work.
has lit up the lives of all her family and friends and to have lost her to this disease makes us want to help as much as possible for current and future sufferers. We hope that through raising money we can help others who are currently suffering with the disease and the many more who will meet this disease in the future.
My aim is to raise as much money for the charity as possible I hope you will help to raise money any sort of donation would be greatly appreciated.
Thank You,
Laura Egerton
