Story
In October 2015 I lost my precious Logan suddenly on my 29th birthday. My world suddenly fell apart. The last 2 years have been the hardest in my life but I've found ways that help me cope.
Last year trying to loose the rest of my baby weight I got a personal trainer to help me and she got me running. Very quickly I refound a love for running. Something that I used to love. When I run nothing else in the world matters. I am free. Free of any pain, free of any thoughts. I just have space and a way to release any anger.
I am currently running between 10 -12k at any one time and I want to now challenge myself to achieve a half marathon.
As soon as I saw Sands #challenge15, I decided to sign up. To challenge myself further and raise money for a charity that really was and has been my saviour. Off the back of signing up to #challenge15, I started to look for half marathons and without hesitation I applied to run the Edinburgh half marathon as one of Sands official charity runners. AND THEY ACCEPTED ME. So this is all very real now.....27th May I will complete my very first half marathon and in one of my favourite UK cities.
I really hope that you will support me to raise very important funds for Sands to support the great work they do as well as help me raise some extra pennies towards the Bedford sands memorial garden project (and to spur me on of course).
