Story
If you love dogs and fancy a change from evenings spent watching TV, then The Great Big Dog Quiz is for you! I’m a Crufts commentator and will be hosting the quiz live on The Great Big Dog Quiz event page on Facebook at 8.30pm on Thursday, April 23rd. There will be four rounds and answers will be revealed after each round so you can see how you’re getting on. This quiz will cover all things dog but if you people enjoy it, I’ll look to do some more specific topics in the coming weeks. Remember, if you cheat, you’re only cheating yourself!
For the first quiz, all proceeds will go to Age UK. We all have older friends and relatives who are genuinely terrified of catching coronavirus, but at least they have us to speak to and support them. I’ve chosen to support Age UK as it’s the most vulnerable older people in our communities who are being worst affected by coronavirus. It’s awful to think how many people are completely alone at the moment, without friends or family to check up on them, and Age UK is working around the clock to address this.
There’s no pressure to donate but if you can spare a few pounds, then please do.
Most people will feel lonely at some point in their lives. It’s a deeply personal experience that - in most cases - will thankfully pass. Sadly, 2.65m older people feel they have no one to turn to for help and around 3.9m older people consider TV to be their main form of company. Donating to this page will help the national Age UK to continue providing vital services that offer companionship, advice and support for older people facing later life alone.
