Story
Up until joining Cubs in June 2022, our wonderful son Ruaridh found after school clubs difficult but this fabulous group have helped him to learn new skills and build up his confidence, he also went to camp with them last year. I have also started to volunteer with the Beavers section on a Tuesday evening and really enjoy seeing the young people in the group learning new skills while having fun.
Doing the mighty stride is a big challenge for me, I've never walked 23 miles before but I've been loving the training and can't wait for the big day! In 2020, I was quite unwell and unable to walk to the end of my path without being out of breath but I'm now walking to Garelochead and back with lots of encouragement from friends and family!
Scouting has never been more important in Young People's lives. Going on camps to learn new skills and build relationships with others both locally and further afield is key to all the activities we deliver in Scouting. By helping us raise funds we can subsidise the cost of camps and other adventurous activities to allow Young People to develop #skillsforlife.
