Story
*Update May 2022*
I am running multiple events this year, one was Brighton marathon for Grassroots in April, I enjoyed it so much, that I have asked for a place in next years Brighton marathon 2023 😊
I still feel strongly about helping others & raising money by running marathons is my way.
Absolutely anything helps, thank you for your kindness with your donations, it spurs me on knowing we can help.
Suicide changes those affected, let’s reach out and help, please help me to help others, let’s try together and perhaps we can together help even just one person and their friends and family.
I’m running to help Grassroots help those that need it, if I can help just one person through their darkest moments, then this will be all worth it.
Let’s try and bring hope to those that need it.
I’m running this in memory of Nicola Burton.
When someone has thoughts of suicide, connecting with others can make all the difference. But reaching out can feel impossible. So many people go through this pain alone and without support. In fact, 72% of people who die by suicide are not in contact with a health service about suicide in the year before their death.Thats why preventing suicide means working together. Together, we can fight dangerous stigma that stops people talking about suicide. Together, we can learn to recognise and support those at risk, and connect them with a network of lifesaving services. Together, we can prevent suicide.I am running for Grassroots to make this possible. Every step along my journey, every penny I raise, will help us prevent suicide together through Grassroots' lifesaving services.
Truly thank you for your support.
