We provide emotional and practical support to families with a seriously ill child.

Story

As many of you knew I am taking on the physical and mental battle of completing Ironman UK on 4th August and then going on to compete in Ironman Wales a month later on the 8th September just to add to the the challenge.

The challenge I am undertaking will be noting in comparison to the battle that the beautiful and brave Emilie Faith Austin has gone through over the past year. The charity I will be raising money for is the rainbow trust fund as this charity is close to Becky, Dave and Emilie's heart.

Over the past few months Emilie has been recieving visits from Ben one of the support workers from the rainbow trust fund. He comes to play with Em for an hour or so giving Becky and Dave a bit of time to get daily jobs done.  Becky said Ben is a god send. Em dearly loves him and they work to support many families across Manchester who are experiencing life threatening problems. It's a bit like respite or they will run errands for the families like shopping, helping with cleaning etc. Ben comes to play with Em when she feeling bored or needs cheering up.

Please dig deep for this amazing charity.

Thank you so much! Love Laura xx

D.O.B: 31st August 2010

My good friends Becky and Dave Austin have written about their beautiful daughters tough battle: Our little girl, has grown into such a beautiful, sociable and caring child. She is adored and loved by many.

Unfortuanetly on the 16th September 2012, we came to realise that without signs she hadn’t been very well for sometime, and on this day we found out Emilie has a very rare child liver cancer, called Hepatoblastoma, with metastasis in both of her lungs.

Emilie will need to have many months of very intense Chemotherapy leading upto having a Liver Transplant, then followed by more Chemotherapy. The Liver Transplant will hopefully take place in January 2013 in Leeds General.

Please like follow Emilie’s journey through her ongoing battle against cancer, the up’s and down’s.
