Laura is doing a skydive!!
Don't worry, you haven't misread this. It's true. Despite being PETRIFIED of heights, I have (foolishly) signed up to throw myself out of a plane. Oh Dear.
The reason for this act of madness? A few weeks ago my world changed when my gorgeous best friend Jen Lawrence died from bowel cancer. In her final few days both Jen, and her husband Mark, were supported by St Joseph's Hospice in Hackney. She spoke highly of the practical and medical care she received both at home and in the hospice itself.
Life will never be the same for all of us that knew and loved Jen, but I'm sure it would please her to know that money will be raised in her honour, to help others suffering from a terminal illness. St Joseph's provide amazing care, which focuses on comfort and quality of life, to enable people to live each day as fully as possible. Providing these services relies on around £6 million each year from charitable donations. So please dig deep and help me to meet my target. Thank you!
P.S.Don't forget to sponsor Jules, who is 'jumping' with me!
