Story
This year I will be participating in the Big Sleep Out, an event organised by the charity Framework.
It is easy to think that everyone has a warm bed to sleep in, food to eat and that their basic needs are met. But this is not the case for everyone.
Homelessness is on the rise in the UK. Framework work with more than 11,000 every year. They have people who are either homeless or on the verge of it. They assist with Housing, Health Services and Employability. It's not just helping people off the streets, it's providing people with the skillset and knowledge to become independent and self-sufficient. They provide additional support to build confidence and to help isolated people become a part of the community.
I am fortunate enough to have a home, but on 24th November I will brave the elements and get a small glimpse of what a homeless person experiences sleeping out on the streets.
Any donation, big or small, is appreciated.
