First of all, thank you. It means so much that you've donated to Mind and that your money will help the charity continue the vital work it does in supporting mental health and well-being. With NHS mental health services being under immense pressure, this is more important than ever.
After I ran the London Marathon in 2012 I swore I'd never do one again...! But the stars aligned to persuade me to do it this year; 10 years on, 2 kids later, nearing my 40th birthday and for such an brilliant cause.
No-one is immune to mental health struggles and although the stigma is lessening, many still find it hard to open up about them, including me. The last two years have been an emotional rollercoaster for me and my family and I've been grateful for all the support and resource that is available through charities like Mind.
I hope you'll cheer me on as I take on 26.2 miles... Any running buddies want to train with me?!
