Story

At just 12 days old Lucca was taken to the Horton General Hospital Children's Ward - for a check up. Minutes later he collapsed

The team at the Horton that night worked quickly, professionally and skillfully to save our little boy.

Lucca was moments from dying and was suffering from coarctation of the aorta (congenital heart defect) and this was diagnosed via an xray - incredible.

The whole team communicated with us ensuring we knew what they were thinking, what the plan was and where to go from there. Lucca was transferred to Southampton after being stabilised by the ward.

We will be forever grateful to the team that night and we are very lucky to still receive care from them to this day.

We wish to raise funds for the ward in Lucca's name, as a thank you. No words we can ever say will truly reflect how we feel, so therefore money towards equipment in the ward is the very least we can do.

Please help us support this amazing ward and join us in our thanks for their care, professionalism, knowledge and skill.

We are holding a charity night in August to raise funds, but this page may enable someone to donate who is unable to attend.
