Amelie and I will be taking part in the Lingen Davies 5K ruby Run on 30th March 2019. Along with my Ruby Star Quilt project, we're doing the run to raise funds for the Lingen Davies Ruby Appeal. I was treated for bowel cancer at the Lingen Davies Centre at the Royal Shrewsbury hospital in 2018-2019. They looked after me brilliantly during what was a very difficult year, and now is the time to do what I can to help raise funds for the centre. They are aiming to raise a total of £1.25m towards improving prevention of cancer, early diagnosis, delivery of high quality cancer treatment and recovery and life after cancer.

We'll be running (OK mostly walking) the 5K and to make it a 'Ruby' run we'll be flinging bags of red powder all over each other! Sounds like fun and we would love for you to sponsor us, even if it's just a small amount, it all adds up.
